We got together with a bunch of friends for a bike over night at San Elijo State Beach and campground.
People ask me why I visit cicLAvia and other Open Street events in SoCal. My response is it creates a sense of car-free utopia, it is less expensive than traveling to Copenhagen or Amsterdam, to see and meet friends, to explore dowtown without horrific gridlock and car fumes, and last but not he least to checkout #pupsonbikes and cargo bikes.
One of the reasons I bought a Folding bike is to be able to park my van a short distance to work. Then ride the rest of way. Whem work takes me to UCLA, UCSD, or UCI, I take the opportunity to explore the campus on a bike or on foot.

We had a great time volunteering as course monitors stationed at one of the intersections along the Silver Strand. We brought refreshments and music and good cheers to more than 3500 participants. Bella helped me share the cargo bike love.

We are building a chicken coop. We bought plans from the GardenCoop.com site. Below is how I hauled the listed lumber. I always wanted to haul lumber via cargobike and heavy duty trailer. It is a challenge and a fun workout. Once I arrive home, The whole cargo rig goes in the back yard (no unloading) the lumber stays on the trailer until needed.
