Usefulness of the Xtracycle Sidecar

Ever since it came out, I've wanted to get one. Fast forward many years later, I finally got one from our LBS.

Since then I have been using it to carry loads like the holiday tree, my pups, occasional kids, and purchases from the big box store.

When not in use it can be folded or easily removed and stored. It takes less space than a trike or front loading cargo bike.

Here is a short list of things carried on the sidecar:

New microwave for our teen and a 32 inch Smart TV for video streaming and DVDs.

Farmer's market haul for three locally owned Taverrns. Sidecar cargo: two 50 dozen fresh California eggs and fresh salad mix

Six foot Holiday tree

Folded when not in use.

Hey I just got my sidecar today, after wanting one for years also. Your pictures have inspired me. First up, though, I need to figure out a way to suit my dog that won’t freak him out...
